This 60-minute interactive breakout session is designed to move beyond inspiration and into practical action. Following the keynote, we’ll dig deeper into what intentional fatherhood and family leadership really look like when it comes to raising strong, confident daughters.
Together, we’ll explore the influence parents, mentors, and role models have on a girl’s identity, confidence, and emotional resilience. Through guided discussion, reflection, and small-group interaction, participants will identify what they’re already doing well, where they want to grow, and how to apply simple, meaningful changes—1% at a time—in their daily lives.
This session is not about being perfect. It’s about being present, intentional, and consistent. Attendees will leave with a clear takeaway, a personal 1% action plan, and practical tools they can begin using immediately to support the girls in their lives.
Whether you’re a parent, grandparent, mentor, educator, or someone who simply wants to empower the next generation of young women, this breakout is designed to equip, encourage, and activate.

This talk explores how nutrition needs shift during pregnancy and postpartum, and why traditional performance frameworks often fall short in this season. Mel covers how to prioritize nourishment when energy, time, and appetite are limited; when testing can be helpful (and when it isn’t); and how to approach supplementation with clarity and confidence. Designed for athletes navigating identity shifts, recovery, and return to sport, this session blends physiology, lived experience, and practical strategies to support both performance and well being in motherhood.
